it got dark so quickly here, lux felt, it wasnât like home, where daylight faded slowly and even when it did get dark, the streets were well lit to guide you back home. here, all they had were their phones and the moon to try and navigate themselves. maybe the stars, if sheâd been a pirate back in the early 1900â˛s. ordinarily, she wouldnât be worried, but theyâre far from home and she couldâve sworn she saw something â but maybe itâs someone who can guide them back. looking over at rhys, she reaches for her hand. âhey, that might be someone from crenshaw,â she says, nodding towards the shadow that seems to be retreating quickly. âshould we catch up with them?â
