miguel’s dad cares more about himself and his dangerous career than the people in his life, so miguel is better off without him. kreese helped johnny in some ways and johnny looked up to him, but it’s good and right that johnny is now realizing kreese was abusive and nothing justifies that. also the only problem with johnny being an absent father who prioritizes his own feelings is that robby was Too Angry and needed to be nicer

violence is always destructive and can easily cause serious physical harm and lasting emotional trauma. also haha isn’t it fun when stingray beats up teenagers and totally critical that robby and miguel fight each other to work things out
