as peak as felicidele is, there's something so intriguing to me about adèle and beryl's relationship. it's by no means healthy or equal or a good idea in the long run but that's what makes me crazy over their dynamic.
just the implication that they've been travelling together for YEARS has me frothing at the mouth. like what do you mean YEARS??? there's so much potential there for how their relationship might have evolved over the course of those years.
to the point where adèle's somehow developed this weird sense of loyalty towards beryl, who, despite her general detachment to those around her, seems to be invested in how adèle's story might unfold beyond her usual role as an observer.
make no mistake, adèle is still extremely traumatised and beryl absolutely does gaslight her at several points in the story to her advantage but guys,,,
