As an animal lover and mother to a 16 year old fur pup, Angel, I absolutely LOVE when couples include their furry family members in their wedding planning whether it is during the engagement portrait session or the big day. Love it, did I mention I LOVE it! They are such an integral part of our lives and our relationship that it almost confounds me when they are not included. My Angel girl is again, 16 years old, my college graduation present from my now husband when we were just dating and deciding to move into together and take our relationship to the next level.  She was the first step to being a responsible adult with our first big kid jobs right out of college and our first commitment to a future together.

Ashley  and Dave are Mommy and Daddy to two gorgeous pups and the love they have and show towards these two is absolutely adorable.  When I arrived on this perfect June day to photograph their wedding and saw that Puppy Cake Topper, I thought, what a perfect little tribute to their babies.

They decided to do a first look so that we could get all portraits out of the way due to time constraints in between ceremony and reception. Ashley decided to do a first look with not only her Dad but her brother as well.

I have loved photographing weddings since I started in 1999, I am an emotional person, you may catch me wiping a tear during a speech or dance but at Ashley and Dave’s wedding…I was a mess! Ashley lost her mom during the planning process and all the wonderful details  and moments that she had throughout the day, it left all those who were blessed to witness it in awe.

Favorite Moment of the day: As I said, I was a mess that day, the beautiful pendant on her flowers, her emotional walk down the aisle, her brothers beautiful reading that paid tribute to their mother all left me a little misty eyed. Fast forward to the Father Daughter Dance, this dance brought me to my knees, as they both cried, her Dad gently holding and comforting her as he wiped away her tears and melted the hearts of every guest in the room, you could feel their bond and it was heartwarming.  Ashley ended the dance telling her Dad that he was “her person”. I may have had actual heart palpitations, everyone always thinks of Grey’s Anatomy or at least I do, when Grey told Yang that she was “Her person”…people strive and look in all sorts of places to find “Their person” , expecting “their person” to be a husband or wife or partner in life. All that I could think of, is what an amazingly blessed person Ashley Eisengart is, she has “her person” and he’s been there for every day, every milestone, every moment of her life, loving her, encouraging her and supporting her since birth. That my friends is a gift, a gift from God and I was moved to tears of joy for this young woman. You are a lucky duck, Ashley, if only others could realize their blessings, and that maybe, just maybe “their person” has been standing right in front of them from day one!
