Kid was settling into his new home, but the single dad life was tough on the former pirate, especially when you considered that both he and his adopted daughter were missing limbs, wore prosthetics and he couldn’t drive. As a result he was walking down the street using his cane with one hand and holding his sleeping daughter against his chest with the other, a bag of shopping hanging off the arm holding Sophia. “Excuse me miss, could I possibly sit here?” He asked the woman sitting on the bench, his missing limb wasn’t obvious as long as he was wearing trousers, but he had a noticeable limp.

Eddie’s eye twitched, someone had taken her to the power plant AND harmed her?! He felt his blood boil. “Who was it? Was it Jason Carver?” When he had seen his neighbour coming home in tears he had rushed over to check on her, he had been a little too pushy and she had snapped at him, but he didn’t care, he just needed to know she was okay. “Come on, I’ve got some cream that’ll help it bruise less.” He offered gently, his brain not ready to process that she had gone on a date with a jock of all people.

Eddie had been about to answer when he was suddenly kissed, his brain seeming to malfunction once she pulled away for a few moments before he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back into the kiss.

Eddie shook his head, “no it’s not...it’s not that simple.” This was definetly not a conversation to be having when he had been drinking.
