I slipped out of school early Thursday and we drove down to Fins for the night. I packed up the Jeep in a rush, hoping to get down there and set up camp before sunset. I remembered to pack my wife, my dog, and my beer. I forgot to pack the huge bag with all our food. Had a Tiger for breakfast...we were home before noon. Beautiful morning nevertheless.

Oman is the perfect trip when Dubai-life has beaten you to shit. I had traveled there 3 times before I left the airport, so finding that the nation had more to offer than a Subway sandwich, 3 quick drinks at the Irish bar and then a stop at dutyfree was amazing. Muscat has some beautiful natural features to explore and we spent most of our weekend outside exploring. Enjoying the warm January sun. My desire to see Solala with Beth gives Oman strong upside as a sleeper vacation, but I can’t see them ermerging as a rotation player
