insane about beatsheet dean. my liddol gayboy
Living up to my pen name with this one! I created this giant beat sheet chart thing, based off of Savannah Gilbo’s wonderful work. I made the boxes the same size as Post-It notes so that I can get tactile with my scenes for Werewolf!Draco (hopefully coming to a FanFiction website near you soon!) and I’m a little turned on, tbh 😏😂
Beats
My attempt at putting into words, the basic flow of this story
setting: night time, clouds and moon illuminate the sky. everything is washed in blues UNTIL bride chamber where everything glows yellow warm
#
announcer voice comes in “Festivities for engagement of princess and the little itty bitty prince” INT. somewhere within main castle contd. pan across festivities of various anthro. characters
#
pan into young groom being denied entry to his own engagement party “bouncer???” idk some official guy: points to sign (21 n over) Groom looks past guy’s shoulder, cake toppings depicting him and veiled bride look of utter judgment walks away, kicking at stones meanders into castle halls passes painting of a wyrm vs knight fight
INT. castle hallway cue fox bridesmaids gossiping shadow puppetry only show hand gestures/face movement background is composed of grape vines and thorns drops exposition of where the bride is/appearance
INT. near castle windows, overlooking courtyard eavesdropping, alongside Bride’s dialogue acting out reactions *thought bubbles popping out might be cute? character animation focus after walking away from the bridesmaids, spots the tower in the distance
pan into castle, young groom enter scene by climbing up the tower narrowly avoids getting caught by guards patrolling by windowsills scrambles his way to the top makes it all the way to top window, where he spies the princess in the room
#
Her face is covered in a veil, she sits in front of a huge portrait with a beautiful young girl Young groom, distracted, trips his way into the room Veiled princess turns to look at him her body doesn’t move but her face approaches, dragging the veil off young groom looks in horror as the veil completely falls to reveal: a wyrm sizing him up flaring out her hood, she bares her fangs at him Close up of young groom’s widened eyes close up of open mouth shot of wyrm lowering her hood in confusion final shot of his blushing face looking back at her in wonder
announcer voice celebrate the union of princess and prince pan portrait of happily married couple
Below the portrait, snuggled up in their weddings clothes is the young prince and princess

Sorry thinking about Beat Sheet again. Cas is my hero for driving a motorcycle and a car. I am so fucking afraid of driving but I do it anyway. However, I refuse to be in close vicinity to a motorcycle.
Quite proud of my beatsheets, sadly this one is for a postponed and pivoted game, or essentially a different game now. . . . #beats #beatsheet #narrative #narrativedesign #story #gamedev #gamedesign #drawio #flowchart (at Thirroul Village) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcQFh7CBU01/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Beat Sheets, Helpful Websites, & Books For Aspiring Authors
I’m going to make a concerted effort to create posts with helpful information for aspiring authors. Over the years, I have read a ridiculous amount of books on the craft, stalked awesome websites with great info, and I have created documents to help organize my novel.
