Our generation. Our generation. The generation of technology, often referenced as a bad thing…at the rate of information being exchanged, we are considered self privileged and spoiled, constantly in our phones in another world detached, depressed, disambiguated from reality. The generation of technology is the generation of information! No longer is there a need for payed research, debt because of curiosity. We have the world, the knowledge, the power at our fingertips. Independence, true independence (and not the independence taught in school) is making a breakthrough. People are using this free information to create names for themselves and by themselves. The rise of independent artists, musicians, personalities and designers is being taken advantage of and is at an all time high all due to the age of the cyber child. ‘The privileged brat with nothing but a phone and self entitlement in need of a reality check’ as referred to by older generations is the child who has created a world for themselves and is thriving off of it. The Internet, once overlooked, is more powerful than ever before and we must protect it. Our generation has already been fighting for its rights when it comes to freedom on the internet and they will continue to do so. Our generation, will be the one to take over unfair and traditional corporations by the use of the power of true independence…
