tangentially related to that last rb ive been weirded out by that thing that some youtubers have been advertising for a while where the whole purpose of it is like, cutting down books and podcasts to a "bite sized" summarizing format or whatever...like i know theyre probably just praising it bc theyre getting payed but can we Please not act like this is actually equivalent to taking in the full book or podcast episode or whatever the original source is?

its satisfying gradually filling in the info though i haven’t done that sort of thing for my characters in years it seems like

having neighbors with a goat is funny bc i’ll be sitting around with the windows open and there is just. this animal down the road basically screaming but in a way that sounds very silly (/pos i would like to meet the goat)

honestly id really love to find more info on local native plants and foods (and supporting/maintaining them) from actually indigenous sources but it seems like (in my experience so far at least) that it can be a bit difficult to find those kinds of resources online, but i’m thinking about trying to go to more library events focused on native plants (and gardening generally) and maybe look around at what physical info and resources are at the local libraries so maybe i’ll find out more that way…

speaking of native plants in my yard i havent seen any nuts growing on the two black walnut trees this year…wont know for sure until its time for them to fall but if there aren’t any i hope its just bc its an off year or something

the pawpaws really go crazy all through the little area i live in theres so many of them and i love the black upside down flowers on the trees in spring so much
