I will never understand why you people are so insistent on framing the charity of your gods and emperors as a bad thing. They give you land and protection and all these things and you spit in their faces. Despicable.

i know you're too much of a fucking idiot to understand simple politics, so i'm going to lay this out simply for you.
the emperors couldnt give less of a shit about us. their "protection" is nothing more than the sharpening of an axe in their toolbox. we work for them and supply them their wealth and what do we get for it? hardly any more food to eat for the next day IF WE'RE LUCKY.
our oh-so-mighty emperor saw my sister, sick and ill and halfway to death. he had the wealth and the money to help and he just let her fucking waste away. he'd better count his blessings that she got better or else he'd be dead by my hand by now.
