Pet Peeve #3647
I dont know if anyone else has this pet peeve, but I cannot stand when pretty, hot, cute, attractive people, purposely make themselves less attractive.
As an unattractive person myself, I can tell you that its nearly a disability. People make fun of you, its hard to find good relationships, get turned down for jobs, get treated like your stupid or dirty.... its not fun. So to me, when I see someone that I know is attractive, going out of their way to look frumpy, its offensive. Not unlike someone using a wheelchair just because they dont feel like walking today.
Im not talking about wanting to dress in sweat pants, not putting on makeup, or putting your hair up. Thats all fine and Im sure you’re still attractive when you do that, Im talking about wearing ill-fitting or poorly matched clothing, letting your beard get shabby, paying for a bad haircut to look “edgy” or clunky horn-rimmed glasses you dont need. If youre cute, be cute! For some of us ugly isnt something you can turn off and on when you feel like it. Just sayin
