I had a birthday party at the church! There were pink balloons everywhere, I really had no idea! I thought I was the only person to like that place, maybe Cloud too. But Denzel says he feels at home there too, and everyone thought it would be sweet. Cloud, Tifa and Barret fixed it a little bit, enough so it would look like it did about seven years ago. They couldn’t build the walls back up because the Meteor ruined the soil, but they really renovated it. I cried for hours! 😭

Cloud doesn’t like making sweets that much, so Tifa baked the cake for me and Cloud made lunch for everyone else. Tifa’s cake was amazing, I think she’s really going after the whole “opening a restaurant” thing, I hope I can support her anyway I can. It was a strawberry and white chocolate cake.

Cloud made Shrimp and Grits for us, it looked amazing! I had never eaten it, he said it’s quite popular in Nibelheim and figured I would like it, since I love shrimp. Even Denzel loved it, and he’s not that into seafood.

At home, we had a private dinner and then Cloud surprised us with Chicken & Dumplings. It hit right on the spot, because Midgar was pretty warm on my birthday, but Kalm was really cold! It was perfect.

Marlene gave me a hand made picture frame 😭, Denzel played this really sweet tune on the flute (he’s learning at school). He said he played on the backyard everyday for two weeks to get it right for my birthday! I cried so hard. 😭 Tifa gave me three new ribbons (blue, green and white) with three tiny little ribbons for the baby so we can match. Barret gave me a gold bracelet, since Corel Valley is prospering on the mineral business again, it’s one of his “town treasures”. 

And Cloud gave me the sweetest thing ever. He went to Gold Saucer and asked if they had any pictures from a play where two guests played the leading roles a few years back. They had a photo of Cloud on one knee, kissing my hand. Cloud got that picture and framed it. So it’s in our living room now.

Are you a detective? …Tee-hee, but you’re right. Our date in Gold Saucer was so special… I was so happy, I’ll never forget the feeling. You see, I’m usually outgoing and carefree, but I was so nervous. It felt like the fireworks were exploding in my chest, while he looked confused at me, not really understanding what I was saying… 

We did spend the night together, since you’re all so curious! I remember the next morning, Cloud is such a heavy sleeper. Wouldn’t wake up! I had to go, “Hello, wake up! It’s almost morning!” I mean, he had to go to his room, people would be suspicious!

What’s unhonorable about love? And it took no convincing on either part, it was all just… really natural! After the first kiss, it felt like we were in sync. On the same page.

I… had a bad feeling, then. I knew something would happen. And I wanted to spend more time with him. I don’t see anything wrong with that.

Cloud’s gonna be so mad at me, teehee.
