Magnus had known he was in love with Alexander Lightwood for a long time but after a long list of people he had said the words to too early, he wanted to wait with Alec. It had been a surprise when he’d heard those words but after everything that day it was exactly what he needed to hear. After the incredibly long day they had both had Magnus insisted Alec go back to his, even if the shadowhunter probably had a lot of work to do he was sure Jace and Izzy could manage for a while on their own. Now that they were both safe Magnus wasn’t willing to let his boyfriend out of his sight for a while.
As soon as they walked into the apartment Magnus turned to Alec. “Thirsty?” He asked and snapped his fingers summoning a glass of wine for himself and a beer for Alec, the one alcoholic drink he didn’t seem to completely hate, before even waiting for an answer. After the day they’d both had they needed a drink, or at least the warlock did. He walked over to the couch and sat, waiting for Alec to join him. “Are you coming love?”
