A son for a son …
The words echoed in her mind…the memories of the conversation overheard and the anger she felt that her father would even think of this. The Targaryen princess had walked out of council with her father after she confronted him telling him that killing another child would just push deeper a dagger that had already opened a wound, allowing it to fester.
The sound of metal clanking as she tried to move. She could barely see out of one eye as the other was swollen…the pain in her ribs was almost unbearable making it hard to take a normal breath. Trying to come to her feet; she felt pain over her entire body. “The dragon warrior is awake...” She heard someone say and a smirk found its place on her lips…hearing someone spitting on the floor in disrespect. “Oh…why so mean…did I beat your ass one time?” She teased…trying to keep her spirits up…even though she had resigned herself that Aegon would have her killed at any moment. “We should kill you or feed you to your dragon…” Another voice was heard, she had to laugh. “My dragon won’t eat me and besides you do not even know where my dragon is, but I like your style.”
Pain to the stomach as the fist had found its mark then she felt the back of the hand to her face…the taste of iron in her mouth as her teeth had cut the inside of her cheek. Spitting blood to the floor, she heard the door shut and locked…violet hues darken in anger but she knew…deep down she knew this would be the existence for her coming to the Keep but she had to stop what was coming…she had told him…her uncle…the king the truth but he either didn’t believe her or didn’t care but she had seen the fear in the queen dowager’s eyes and even Helaena…her poor aunt…an aunt she loved dearly… she did not deserve any of this.
Stumbling, she finally came to her feet. She had to walk…she had to keep her legs moving…doubt about coming to this shit hole creeping into her mind as she was now the shackled dragon. Pacing back and forth in the cell, she waited for something to happen or for anyone to show but alas, all she ever received were guards that hated her for her past actions of beating them during training or even after when she had been sneaking into the throne room where her grandsire had been King.
The chains click across the floor as she paced…she felt like a caged dragon…nowhere to go and just held captive…something she nor any other dragon or animal would approve of but there she was. The creak of the door invaded the silence she had become used to in between the guards taking their shots at her but when she looked up; it was a woman she saw this time. It was the woman that had become a grandmother by marriage to her and enemy of the family by her father. Alicent Hightower.
The young princess allowed her light lilac hues to rest on the @bcrbleue dowager queen as she spoke to her. A soft smile curled the corners of her swollen lips. “I did nothing, your grace, except steal my way into Kings Landing to bring a warning that my dear uncle ignored.” She paused, licking her lips…trying to bring them back to life. “He threw me in here believing it was a trick, but it is not, your grace. I would not defy my mother and father for a trick…not when it is about my aunt Helaena.” Her words were soft but strong as she spoke hoping the queen would believe her.
“I am already dead for betraying them and that has left me dead so if you do not believe and wish me dead, too… it will matter not.”
