ever since olivia started walking, marleny has had her hands full. she found toys almost everywhere, and olivia constantly climbed into baskets of laundry, even when her short legs could barely lift over the edge. marleny spent most of the morning running after olivia up until it was time for her nap, then she cleaned up the house before the two went out on a short shopping trip. they stopped in a grocery store to grab food for that night’s dinner, and in a pharmacy to pick up a couple of items for the household. there was one extra item in the bags, but marleny wasn’t going to think twice about it -- she had to talk to nils before she did anything. so, that night after olivia’s in bed, dinner’s been made, and she’s fresh out of the shower when she hears the door to their bedroom open. “babe, come in the bathroom,” she speaks almost in a rushed tone, grabbing what the purchased at the pharmacy. “i haven’t done it yet because i wanted to wait until you got home, but i think i should take a pregnancy test.”
