Exactly 2 years from today, I graduated high school. Time really does fly by. I remember when I just started BC and I spoke things into existence. I remember saying I would do all these things and remember visualizing where I want to be. All those things I visualized and said came true, even when I hadn't remembered that it was my plan all along. This past weekend was a true journey down memory lane (and had to share a throwback in this first pic 💪🏽🙌🏽). . We celebrated Boston College Rugby’s 50th Anniversary - and more importantly, recognizing my coach, Ken Daly, for the 50 years he dedicated to coaching the rugby teams at Boston College. Yes, FIFTY YEARS! . Alumni flew in from everywhere to celebrate and reminisce the rugby days). I met men and women alumni who graduated from BC in the 70s to the recent 2017 grads. Some of my most memorable moments? Talking to the women who played rugby in the 80s and 90s and learning about how things were so different: - At that time, women weren’t allowed to wear pants to work (only skirts). - I met the woman who was brave enough to ‘come out’ and start the LBTQ club at the BC in the 80s and learned about how much she sacrificed to be a trailblazer for the community. - I was able to meet one of our alumni who is KILLING the game - yes, the amazing @welter47 , the FIRST female to coach in the NFL! . These are a few of many moments that served as a reminder that I am blessed. Blessed with all that I have today. Blessed to be surrounded by amazing people. This journey has been long and hard, when I started my tenure at Broward, I was dealing with an unhealthy relationship, a disgruntled family situation, and the loss of a good friend to drug addiction. The struggles of staying up doing accounting homework till 3am after working 10 hours was worth the joys of finishing my Associates with a 3.85gpa. I've worked my ass off in spite of all the hardships that came my way. Proud of my achievements at BC and the Bob Elmore Honors College. This chapter in my life is closed. And my next chapter at McGill University in Montreal starts this fall 2018. #GoSeahawks #TheSagaContinues (at Broward College South Campus)

These were the comments I got from my first ever science exhibition. I talked about Bernoulli's principle and demostated few physics experiments. I was a very shy high schooler then! Over time, communicating science to the public have grown to be one of my biggest strengths.
