Cute bbsmurf things bc I feel like it:
His new favourite picture book is our wedding album. He plays at recognising all the family members and when he gets to the pages of our wedding photoshoot (where we often kiss or hug obv) he gives us a big hug bc it's the Hug Pages
Yesterday he pointed he pointed at "mama!" and "mama!" on the pictures and then turned around and happily yelled "mama!" and "mama!" while pointing at each of us in turn it was So Cute (we're working on teaching him mamoune - for a minute there it almost worked ("mamu!") but it'll prob take a while still :p)
No clue where he learned the word bc we didn't teach him and he's not in a group with babies at daycare but he's learned "baby" and Loves babies and every time he sees a baby (friend baby. Baby on picture (incl himself as baby). Baby in pram on the streets.) he'll point and breathe "baby!" in awed delight
He Loves to dance. He will stand in the living room and stomp his little feet while pointing at the bookcase where our speaker is (or pushing the buttons on the ps5 bc he thinks that's the radio ;p) until we turn it on so he can dance. We thought it was daycare teaching him and they for sure taught him to dance but apparently he also demands music and dancing more than other kids when there.
He's not talking v well yet, doesn't have a big vocabulary at all, but he's learning So many names (of family members and daycare teachers and daycare friends and our friends' kids). V cute, v apparent that he's a v social little boy who wants to Communicate with the People
The words he is learning fast are animal noises. Consequently, "chat" (his first word) has recently turned into "mauw!"
He loves giraffes?? Completely independently. My plushie as a child was a giraffe but I swear I didn't indoctrinate him (we're indoctrinating him into octopuses ;p), and yet any toy set or image or puzzle or anything he grabs the giraffe ("chra")
He's started saying "mama! Encore !" when Lilou sings him lullabies at bedtime
He is SO active and SO clumsy. He runs all the time and also falls and bumps into things all the time
He is SO active and SO cuddly. Which means he runs around then does a quick two second detour for a hug then runs off again and rinse and repeat for two minute cycles
We taught him "au revoir" but I spontaneously say "bye bye!" much more than au revoir so now he says "avwa bai bai !" while waving goodbye which is hilariously cute (also "dadaaa!" more and more)
He loves the cats and know Silex likes playing with balls so he always ask for a ball ("bai!") and then drops it in front of her nose instead of throwing it so she can run after it so she's always so bewildered (one time he figured out Lilou could throw it further bc she's higher up so he demanded she pick him up so he could also throw further)
He Loves Sornette who is such a bitchy cat but so nice to him. She follows him everywhere and he sometimes bothers her too much but he does his best so much and is generally so well behaved with her
I know preference phases are normal in toddlers but he has the attention span of a goldfish so lately we're cycling on a daily basis π yesterday it was as if I didn't exist and he yelled when I touched him and threw a fit every time Lilou was out of his line of sight and today he refused to go downstairs to eat breakfast bc I was not coming down yet and instead demanding to sit in my lap while I was on the toilet (#parenthood) and protested every time he was not in my arms. Very funny.
He demands his plushie (beloved octopus) and paci when he's sleepy or feels bad but when he doesn't wanna sleep he makes himself Very Understood by pointedly giving plushie and paci back to us π
Sometimes when awake in his crib he babbles to himself, pauses for a second, goes "encore!" and starts again πππ
He loves being tickled and held upside down and thrown on the bed and being mock-devoured, it makes him laugh so much and he has the best laugh
He has! A dimple! On one cheek! Horrible. Too cute
The amount of things you can express with the word "ja". Point and "ja?" = "mother may I please have". "ja!" = "yes you have understood my request" or "yes I agree to your proposition". "jaaaaah!!!" = "joy and delight no one has ever been more blessed than me"
So many animals go "rawr". Lion? Rawr (logical). Bear? Rawr (idem). Dinosaur? Rawr. Frog? Rawr (???) Duck? Rawr (?????) Magpie? Rawr (??????)
He's obsessed with shoes?? He'll follow us around with his shoes so we put them on him and then demands we switch them out when he finds another pair. He also runs after us with our own shoes and demands we put them on and gets v mad when we don't (which is unhandy bc Lilou and I have many of the same shoes and he gets so mad when he gives us a pair he thinks is ours and we can't put them on bc they're not our size ππ)
