Sorry for the bad Gramma, etc. It's 3am and I can't concentrate but I wanted to get a chapter out.
Enjoy...
"Are you sure you're alright?" John asked, checking me for injuries again.
"John, really. I'm fine" I said, giving him a reassuring smile before looking over at Sherlock.
He was sat in his seat with a slight frown on his face. His raven curls messy from constantly running his hands through them, and his teal-like eyes holding a state of confusion.
"Are you okay, Sherlock?" I asked, looking over at the older man.
"It doesn't add up" he said, placing his hands together in a prayer-like manner.
"Who would kidnap you?" He asked, mostly to himself.
"Wow thanks, are you saying I'm not good enough to be kidnapped?" I joked, making John chuckle and Sherlock to give me a death glare.
"Okay, calm down" I laughed, placing my hands up in surrender.
"Why you?" Sherlock continued, glancing around the room hoping he would understand.
"Look, I survived. It's fine" I said, shrugging as I did so.
"It doesn't add up. I don't like it when it doesn't." Sherlock said, closing his eyes, most likely going to his mind palace.
"Well, I'm going to go for a walk then." I shrugged, not knowing what else to do.
"No." Sherlock stated flatly, not even opening his eyes.
"Why?" I asked, confused.
"You just got kidnapped and you want to go outside. No." Sherlock replied, crossing his leg over the other.
"Fine." I said, smiling as John let out another chuckle.
"So, I'm just meant to sit here doing nothing?" Â I questioned, taking a seat on the couch at the back of the room.
"Do what you want, but don't leave the flat." Sherlock responded.
"Do you want something to eat?" John asked, to which I shook my head.
"I'm okay, thanks." I said, giving John a small smile.
Sherlock and I sat in silence for several minutes, before my phone buzzed, notifying me that I had received a text.
Unknown number: I forgot to tell you, I took your phone number. J
I smiled, as I saved his number before responding.
Good to know.
Smiling to myself, I grabbed a book from the table beside me.
                                    *
A few hours later, I had finished the book and Sherlock was still in his mind palace. I decided now would be a good time to try and leave the house.
Quietly, I stood up from my previous position and began walking towards the door. Just as I placed my hand on the doorknob, Sherlock spoke.
"No." He said.
"But I'm bored, and I want to leave." I said. Sherlock let out a small sigh, before jumping up onto his feet.
"Come on then." He replied, swiftly putting on his coat, scarf and shoes before following me down the stairs.
                                            *
"So, where do you want to go?" Sherlock asked, as we walked down the rather quiet streets of London.
"I don't know anywhere." I shrugged, looking at Sherlock.
"I have an idea." He smirked, quickening his pace.

âFreak!â A voice yelled from behind me. It was one of my bullies. They were usually in the year above me. It didnât bother me at all, of course.
âSays the guy whose mother beats himâ I deduced, turning to face him. His name was Angelo, he was fourteen. He had bullied me since primary school, mainly because of my ability to deduce, but also because his mother regularly beat him and this was his only way to feel powerful.
âShut it freakâ Another boy, around my age snarled. His name was Daniel, he was Angeloâs âpartner in crimeâ.
âWhateverâ I said, walking over to a tree where I usually sit at lunch.
âDonât ignore us! Get back here you little- â
âExcuse me?â An older man smiled, waking me up from my slumber.
âYes?â I asked, sitting up straighter and stretching.
âThe plane is about to landâ He said, smiling before sitting back in his seat.
âThank youâ I said, giving him a slight smile and looking out the window.
I was flying into London from my home in Ireland. I had never left on my own, so this would be the first time. I had bought an apartment in Baker Street. 221C. It was cheap, and needed quite a bit of decorating, but I was determined to make it my home.
It took 3 minutes and 14 seconds exactly for us to land. Passengers began to pile out, so I remained in my seat until they had all left. Once they had, I stood up.
âWelcome to Londonâ A flight attendant smiled, handing me my papers. Fake smile obviously, having an affair with a pilot.
âThanksâ I muttered, taking them from her hand before grabbing my case.
âHere we goâ I said, inhaling a deep breath before pushing the door open. London was, busy. Well thatâs an understatement. It was extremely packed with people. Most people were going to, or from work with a few others meeting up with friends and/or relatives.
I began walking down the busy streets, attempting to locate a cab. It took a while, but finally I traced one down.
âWhere to miss?â The cab driver asked, turning to face me and giving me a crooked smile. He had grey hair, with a hat and glasses on along with shaving foam behind his ear. Obviously had no-one to point it out to him.
âBaker Street please, 221Câ I smiled, to which he nodded and began driving.

âHello, dear. Iâm Mr Hudson, the landladyâ A woman, around her 50âs smiled, opening the door to allow me in to which I smiled. The first genuine smile of the day.
âExcuse the mess, the guys upstairs have been wreaking havocâ She sighed, moving some loose papers.
âIf youâd like to follow meâ She laughed, grabbing a key from the nearby counter.
The house was almost identical to the one in the photos, except it had been dusted and cleaned, obviously to make a good impression.
âItâs ÂŁ110 per week, but if you need time I can wait until the end of the week.â She said, rubbing at the back of her hand, which had slight ink stains.
âItâs brilliant, thank youâ I said, taking the key which she was holding out.
âWhen will the movers bring your things to the flat?â She asked, brushing herself down.
âSometime before next weekâ I smiled, brushing myself down as she had done moment ago.
âIâll leave you to itâ She smiled, before leaving the room. Looking around, I placed my case on the floor and collapsed onto the couch. I had, had a stressful wee. It had been filled with packing, flight arrangements, job hunting and flat hunting, leading to many sleepless nights.
Deciding that it would be better to get something to eat, I stood up and grabbed some money before heading out.
I took a short walk to the local supermarket, which was filled with everything you could need. I spent around ten minutes walking around, occasionally grabbing items.
By the time, I had finished shopping, I had spent ÂŁ43. Cheap. After that I took a walk around the area, making sure to figure my way around. By the time, I arrived back at the flat, I had memorised around 4 miles of London.
I sighed to myself, as I began unpacking my food, it was mostly microwavable things as I didnât want to spend my first few days at Baker Streets cooking.
After I had done, I sat on the couch glancing around the room, until I heard shouting from upstairs.
âSherlock! A head!â A voice yelled.
âTea pleaseâ The other guy, who I assumed to be Sherlock replied. This disagreement continued for a few minutes, before the man, whose name I did not know, sighed and went into a different room.

It was around 10:15 when I decided I should probably get some sleep. I had spent the past 38 hours awake, and if I continued, I would most likely sleep for weeks.
I headed into the master bedroom, before changing my clothes and climbing into my bed.
âHappy new year, everyone!â Mrs Hudson smiled, bringing in some wine as we all watched Sherlock play his violin.
âThank you!â I smiled, taking two glasses for Molly and me. Â
We had decided to go to the new year gathering at 221B, since Molly was driving me around a lot after I crashed my car earlier this year.
âSo, how is your shoulder now, Y/N?â Lestrade asked, taking a drink from Mrs Hudson.
âShoulder?â John said, giving Lestrade and I, a confused look.
Lestrade had been the one to help me after the crash, and the only one who knew I had crashed my car, avoiding a speeding motorbike.
Sherlocks head snapped towards Lestrade, who was stood to my left.
âOh, I knocked my shoulder earlierâ I lied, shrugging which made Greg give me a confused look until he realised what I was doing.
âYouâre lyingâ Sherlock stated, plucking at his violin.
I sighed to myself, before taking a sip of my drink.
âItâs nothing, honestly.â I laughed, looking over to Greg who was looking directly at me.
âSo, Molly. Who is your new boyfriend?â Sherlock asked, glancing over at Molly.
âWhat?â She asked, confusion gracing her features.
âBoyfriend? You obviously have one, Iâm guessing youâre meeting him tonight?â He answered.
Who says it has to be a boy?â I interrupted, giving Molly chance to form a reply.
I knew she didnât have a boyfriend, she was madly in love with Sherlock.
Hearing me say that, Sherlocks head, once again, snapped towards me.
âYou two?â He asked, a new emotion creeping up into his eyes.
âWhat, no?â John began, looking between Molly and me.
âJesus, calm down. I was just saying it didnât have to be a guyâ I said, leaning on the wall beside the door.
âSo, who is it?â Sherlock asked again.
âNo-one.â Molly said, taking a large gulp from her glass to avoid the inevitable conversation.
âWell clearly there isâ He said, eyes looking over her body.
âHow would you know?â She asked.
Stupid question, Molly.
The man, who I had begun to develop a âcrushâ on, stood up and began making his way towards Molly.
âWell from the make-up and how inappropriately you are dressed suggests you are seeing someone tonight. Maybe you dressed like that to impress him or maybe it was because you plan on doing more than see each other tonight. No-one else besides your boyfriend would want to see you dressed in that manner.â He said, barely taking a breath in between each word.
I could see tears begin to well up in Mollyâs eyes, as she placed her drink down and began to turn towards the door with the whole room in silence.
âWell-Thank you Mrs Hudson, Iâll justâŠâ Molly sniffed, biting back tears as she began to leave Baker Street.
âWell done, Sherlockâ I said, grabbing my jacket from behind Sherlock before running after her.
-X-
âMolly!â I called, jogging to catch up to her as she rounded the street corner.
âOh, hey Y/Nâ She sniffled, wiping her eyes on her wrist.
Slipping my jacket off my shoulders, I draped it around her, making sure she was covered, protecting her from the harsh winds.
âItâs just a dress.â She sighed, sniffing again.
âIgnore him, okay? He doesnât know what heâs talking about.â I smiled sadly, wiping her tears away.
âCome on, Iâll talk to him laterâ I said, ready to speak to Sherlock.
Sure, I liked the consulting detective, but my friends came first.
âThank youâ She whispered, wiping away the rare tear.

Sherlocks POV:
âWhere did Y/N and Molly go?â Mrs Hudson asked, as I began pacing the room slightly.
Itâs dark, and thereâs a gang of human traffickers out there. Why did I do this, why did I get attached to them?
âSherlock decided he should be smart and he upset Mollyâ John sighed.
âSherlock.â Mrs Hudson groaned, watching as I continued to pace around the room.
âWhat do I do?â I asked, spinning to face John.
âWhat?â John asked, a confused look coming onto his face.
âYou know what to do with women, youâve had enough. What do I do? Do I go after them?â I asked.
âYou might want to give Molly some time on her own, since youâre, well. You.â
âNot Molly, John.â I sighed, sitting back on my chair.
Give them time, Sherlock. Time.

Y/Nâs POV:
As soon as Molly and I began walking down the alleyway towards our flats, I knew something was wrong.
You know the feeling you get, when you know youâre about to be in danger? Well, it was like that.
âMolly, walk ahead of me, quick.â I whispered, glancing behind us to see two men, around mid-twenties walk down the alley towards us.
âWhat? Why?â She asked, unaware of the two men following us.
âTrust me. Please, for me.â I pleaded, worried for her safety.
We had a few seconds.
Molly nodded, swiftly walking towards the end of the alley, before safely leaving.
I smiled to myself, as I continued walking at a casual speed, attempting to not alert the potential attackers.
âHey, you!â One of the men called.
My steps slowed to a halt, as I quickly looked around for more danger.
There were two men coming in from each side.
âCan I help you?â I asked, turning to face the men behind me, a nonchalant look on my face.
Both pairs continued walking towards me in silence, until I was surrounded by them all.
âWell?â I asked, annoyance in my tone.
âCome with us.â The man on the right said.
âNo.â I responded, a daring look in my eyes.
âOh, it wasnât a question, love.â Another man smirked.
âDonât, call me loveâ
âOr what?â He replied.
âBack offâ I said in a hushed tone.
âOr what, cutie?â The guy behind me whispered into my ear, loud enough for his âfriendsâ to hear.
âDo you really want to test me?â I said, ready to fight the men. Well, attempt to.
The final guy smirked, lifting his fist which I managed to avoid as he swung towards me.
As soon as I ducked, his smirk dropped as they all glared at me, throwing more punches before someone pulled out a knife, slashing my cheek with it.
My gaze darted around, looking for an exit before I spotted one.
Ducking under the guys arms, I began to run, until one guys tightly grabbed my wrist, pulling me towards his body.
âLet go of me.â I muttered, maliciously.
âOr what?â He said, grinning a sadistic grin.
I rolled my eyes, bringing my knee towards his groin making him groan and let go of my wrist.
As soon as he had done so, I began to run.
I was outnumbered, there was no way I could take them all on.
I continued running, until I decided that Baker Street was the easiest and quickest way to safety.
There was no way those guys were going to leave me alone.

Sherlocks POV:
âByeâ I heard John say as he watched people leave.
I let my body relax into the couch as I began to go to my mind palace, before I heard John come back in. I felt his gaze on me, while he sat on his chair.
It was silent for around 5 minutes, before the door from downstairs swung open then slammed shut.
Sharp steps and rapid breaths were heard as someone ran up to the flat.
âY/N? What the hell happened to you?â John gasped, standing up.
Upon hearing Y/Ns name, my eyes snapped open, as my body quickly sat up.
As I looked over at them, I noticed several injuries.
A slice mark to the left cheek, hand shaped bruises on their left wrist and a swollen cheek on their right.
âI was attacked?â They laughed, watching John as he walked into the kitchen to grab a first aid kit.
âWell here, Iâll- âJohn began.
âIâll do it, goodnight John.â I interrupted, quickly standing up and heading towards the pair.
âIts fine I can- â
âGoodnight, John.â I repeated, pushing him towards his bedroom.
âFine, goodnight Y/Nâ John smiled, before heading towards his room.
âSo, what happened?â I asked, helping them sit on the kitchen counter.
âLike I said, I was attackedâ They said, smiling at me.
âWell, where was Molly?â I asked, carefully cleaning up the cut on their left cheek.
âAww, are you worried about her?â They teased, watching me intently.
âOf course, not.â I muttered, as I finished cleaning up their cut.
It was you, I was worried about.
âI told her to go quick, to answer your questionâ
âWhy?â I asked, taking a better look at the cut.
âI knew something was going to happen.â
âSo why didnât you run too?â
âI didnât want to risk having them come after the both of us. At least this way, theyâll only be looking for me.â They chuckled, tapping their cold fingers on the counter.
âI doubt they would have been smart enough to track you both down.â I said, as I grabbed the utensils to stich the slice.
âThey were smart enough to stop me in an alleyâ they began.
âYou were smart enough to get awayâ
âI ran, I didnât fight.â They sighed, clearly disappointed at themselves.
You were outnumbered.â
âHow did you?â They asked, confusion gracing their features.
âYou used they, when talking about them. Let me guess, four men?â I asked, my fingers carefully stitching the cut.
âYes, how did you- âthey said, before I interrupted them.
âTheyâre wanted for running a human trafficking ring.â I explained.
âOh, so I nearly got kidnapped and sold?â They asked, as I finished stitching their cut.
âYesâ I stated, flatly, although I was worried about them, I knew not to let me emotions get the better of me.
âGreat.â They said, as they began to laugh leaving me confused.
As they continued laughing, I gently took their wrist, examining it. It has already begun to bruise and was swollen slightly. They winced slightly, as I poked it.
âThanks, Sherlock. Poke me, why donât you?â They smiled, causing a small smile to make its way onto my lips.
âYou should be fine, in the meanwhile try not to get kidnapped.â I said, attempting to keep the smile off my lips as I began walking to the couch.
âHey, Sherlock?â they called, causing me to stop in my tracks.
âWhy did you help me, instead of John?â They asked.
Turning back around to face them, I began walking towards them in silence, until I was right in front of them.
âY/N, I- âI began, before hearing a door slam shut and a jumble of profanityâs escape from Johns mouth.
âSorry!â John called, making Y/N laugh.
âYou were saying?â They asked, after Johns bedroom door had closed and he had stopped mumbling to himself.
âLike I was saying,â I began again, before Mrs Hudson walked in.
âOh, hello Y/N, dear. What happened to your cheek?â She asked, pointing towards their cheek.
âCan I help you, Mrs Hudson?â I asked, becoming agitated.
It was hard enough doing this at all, let alone with all these interruptionâs.
âIâm just bringing you some tea, thatâs allâ She said, placing a tray on the counter opposite us.
âI thought you werenât my housekeeper?â I snapped, watching as Mrs Hudson said goodbye and left.
âSo?â Y/N laughed.
âFuck it.â I muttered, before pressing my lips against their own.
It lasted around 30 seconds, before they pulled away.
âI canât Sherlock, Iâm sorry.â They said, stepping off the counter.
âWhy?â I asked, an awful feeling in my chest.
Is this heartbreak?
âMolly-sheâŠâ They began.
âShe what? Do you not like me?â I snapped, making them jump.
âI do like you Sherlock, but Molly-she likes you.â They whispered.
âI like you, Y/N. You know how hard that is for me to say.â I sighed, running a hand through my hair.
âI like you too Sherlock, but Molly is my friend, I couldnât do that to herâ They sighed, copying my action.
Sighing to myself, I walked towards them, gently placing a kiss on their forehead.
âHappy new year, Y/Nâ I whispered, walking to my room in silence as the clock struck twelve.
