@cinemaocd‘s very timely posts about the TV series River have reminded me myself about this awesome show, which I somehow unaccountably forgot all about, and also inspired me to yell about it for the greater good in case anyone is needing another fix of ‘Stellan Skarsgard in classy TV drama’ after Chernobyl. This came out a few years ago, it’s a 6-part detective/murder mystery drama with a few interesting differences, and he’s the main character. The always-wonderful Nicola Walker is his work partner and the rest of the cast is amazing too - Adeel Akhtar, Eddie Marsan, Lesley Manville, Sorcha Cusack. It’s part procedural cop show, part interpersonal drama/journey, part something else entirely. I loved it.
