While things had been mostly quiet after the wedding, they had definitely meant for more time to allow for strategizing for the upcoming war. Adrienne working closely with anyone who had a hand in the fight, ensuring their unwavering loyalty and that they all had been on the same page. While that entailed meeting with people who had stronger holds in the court like Kamau and Kaya, it was still important that the secondary people of the court had a say in what they thought should happen. There was no doubt that Gabriel had been a good king, but Adrienne worked hard day and night to ensure that his name was never tainted or drug through the mud.
But for others, their loyalty had always been steadfast. It was one of these individuals that she had taken a particular liking to many years ago. He showed a lot of promise, however when he came to the court he lacked one critical thing and that was the grace Adrienne instilled in everything that she did. Without question, she had taken Baz under her wing to guide him to be the king’s perfect executioner.
