Work & Adventure - Part 2 :) When you are in the Vacation Rental Business, one of the main objectives is to find out what your guest can do while they are visiting the area. I personally had never been to this part of Florida before last week. In order for me to effectively direct potential guest and clients, it was important to find out about the area. Restaurants, Shopping, Attractions, etc. One thing that we knew for sure that we wanted to do was to find the Donna Kay. The Donna Kay is an abandoned shrimp boat that has become somewhat of an area attraction. The locals have an interesting story of how the Donna Kay actually ended up being beached! The question that everyone one has had is - Where is it? How do we get to it? The answer to that question now seems to be a simple one. Park where the rock formation begins along the coast (or ends depending which direction you are coming from down Cape San Blas Rd), walk out to the stumps on the beach (commonly referred to as Stump Hollow) and head about a mile and a half down the coast. While the walk down the beach is not a long one, this hike will include climbing over fallen palm trees (or you can limbo under lol) and up a slight incline to find a walking path around the water areas. Please make sure to check the low/high tide times prior to heading out to see the #DonnaKay For more information about Bay Haven, the Cape San Blas area and local attractions, please follow our Bay Haven Facebook page!
