Listen, listen, listen: I can only afford so little bullshit in a day.  Sharing this because more people needs to see this.  Coming from a public university, I cannot be more appalled. I disagree when the MC said that all the people in the hall are people who agree with what the government has given them. When she (the MC) said that it is as if it is a reflection of students in public universities as a whole. Not all of us have the luxury of being more than financially secured or have parents who can just send us to private institutions that would eventually land us on the snowy steps of a foreign country as if it were a trip to the backyard of the family home. Should we therefore, because of this handicap that is by no fault of our own nor by our parents, become mindless robots and just agree with whatever the government says and does? And mind you, local graduates are taking more heat from employees on their capabilities than foreign graduates.  Also, may I know where the government gets their money?  You can only force a person to behave a certain way, to a certain extent. To derive an animal analogy as it seems to be a favourite of the MC's, do you know that when a lion handler in a circus walks up to a lion, the lion's instinct is to reverse. It's nothing magic. But when the lion has no where else to go, it would move forward and should the handler's luck be so bad, he could get mauled. The same goes for people. Oppression lasts only to an extent. Eventually, people will get tired.  Secondly, do you think that it is that easy to move to another country? We are here, we are born here, we have paid our dues to society, we are; Malaysians. And I am speaking as a native. As someone whose ancestral origin can only be speculated and never confirmed 100% and my right to land faces the danger of extinction. To hell with this idea of: if you are not happy, move to another country. Don't you have any other more intellectual arguments that you now have to resort to an ultimatum? I quote the MC: "To respect my right to speak of my right." Question though, if we impose so many conditions upon a right that it then becomes close to impossible to exercise that right, what rights are we talking about? A right is inherent, it is not given.
