Curiosities from Munich ❤ Germany The lions at the Feldherrnhalle The Feldherrnhalle was built between 1841 and 1844 by order of King Ludwig I. This was intended to commemorate the Bavarian army and its victorious generals. The architectural model is the "Loggia die Lanzi" in Florence, Italy 🇮🇹 It is said with a wink that the lion with closed mouth (the right one) is of Bavarian origin, the one on the left is Prussian. This is intended to allude to the talkativeness or even garrulousness of the North Germans, in contrast to the rather taciturn Bavarians. 😊🍻🥨😉🦁 Greetings and have a fantastic evening all. . . #feldherrnhalle #odeonsplatz #bavarians #antennebayern #instamunich #munichcity #welovemunich #visitbavaria #raw_germany #exploregermany #germanalphas #weroamabroad #cityshots #createxplore #destination_wow #mustdotravels #opticalwander #passporttoearth #roamearth #stillatraveler #street_visions #thetraveltag #structure_bestshots #urban_addicts #creative_ace #ready2_shoot #tones_addiction #thematic_photogroup #thecommuterstock #impressive_gallery (at Feldherrnhalle) https://www.instagram.com/p/CbQIO8hsIYq/?utm_medium=tumblr
