Battlefield 4 Wishlist - Warzone Gamemode
On Videogames: Of Bad Companies and Injustices
By Blaine Turner
What I’ve been playing
I thought that I would have an update about my time spent playing Bioshock Infinite on hard mode. I ended up being too busy this weekend to devote any time to that and played a bit of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
I’m aware that Battlefield 3 is still going strong and while I enjoy that game I personally prefer Bad Company 2. I have Battlefield 3, I played a lot of it, but I have much more of Bad Company 2.
Bad Company 2 is a really fun game. Battlefield 3 is a very impressive game, the visuals are great, the game play is fantastic but it’s missing the fun factor. I find Bad Company 2 to be a much more relaxing gaming experience.
That may be partially because most of the Battlefield players left Bad Company 2 once Battlefield 3 came out.
I’m not saying that the game is easier, it still has its hardcore players but the game has a much slower pace when compared to Battlefield 3. It makes it a game that I enjoy just sitting down and playing and not struggle to keep my score up.
The disappointing part is that as Battlefield 4 is soon to release, less people are playing Bad Company 2. I’m sure by the time that Battlefield 4 comes out that most people will play that game and Bad Company 2 will fade away. But I have enjoyed my time with it.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is out this week
A few years ago fighting games were said to have come back with the release of Street Fighter IV. fighting game favorites such as Marvel versus Capcom, Tekken and Mortal Kombat soon followed.
I grew up playing fighting games, so it was welcoming to see fighting games come back. It felt like my arcade gaming days had returned but in the best way possible because instead of going to the arcade I got to play my fighting games at home.
Many claimed that fighting games had returned, but they truly didn’t until the licensed fighting games came back, such as this weeks release Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting game featuring DC Comics characters.
My personal experience with fighting games wasn’t limited to Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat but the licensed fighting games were the ones I played the most. Yes, many of them were mediocre at best. But they were an enjoyable time mainly because they featured characters from comics or movies that I liked.
I own the Jurassic Park fighting game, Jurassic Park: Warpath, simply because I love Jurassic Park.
Injustice: Gods Among Us reminds me of this but looks like a legitimately great fighting game. The story looks interesting enough that if it were a graphic novel I would read it. In fact there is a comic book tie in that acts a prequel to the game that is a really great read. The game play also looks great.
The reason this game is more appealing is that it’s made by NetherRealm Studios, the creators of the Mortal Kombat reboot. So it would actually be fun to play fighting game instead of being fun because it’s based upon something you like.
I like Mortal Kombat, so I want to play a Mortal Kombat style game. I like DC Comics so I want to play a videogame featuring those characters. Putting the two together is a great idea. I don’t just have to play accept the game because it features characters that I like. This time it looks like a great game.
I look forward to playing Injustice: Gods Among Us and I hope that this game will open up the doors for great licensed fighting games.
Last night I created, I destroyed, I killed people, and I went to another planet...
Whenever they play an ad on youtube or TV about the army, I tell my brother, "Look, they're playing a BF3 video." and i'm just like
srs face
and he's like LOLÂ

Battlefield 3 trailer works with anything - baby kinect fail
This is an incredible set of Battlefield 3 propaganda posters by artist Roel Theunisz that didn't seem to get it's well deserved attention in the community. At least not where I was looking. Â Click source if you wanna know more about this artist.
