I’m always fond of black battler being bitter and frustrated about how he’s nothing more than a piece… his job is to play his role as the villain, as sayos dreamed up edgy boyfriend, as tohyas worst nightmare

Always second best, isn’t he? He can do everything right and he’s still not the one sayo needs. Hes still not the one the bottles are for. So he plays his role, but there’s always the lingering inferiority complex (that he takes out on battler)

(After all, isn’t he the one created to be ideal? Look at how stupid and stubborn and ignorant battler is, there’s a much better version right here. One who understands what sayo wants and will give it to her. Why isn’t she satisfied with him?)
