To say a sentence that is insane I recognize; it kind of sucks what happened with Deathstroke. He's such an interesting character in early Titans stuff, a fantastic mix of a scumbag and someone who does genuinely care for Gar and Joe. I think if you just modified Terra's story slightly to have him be more manipulative paternal, you end up with a much more interesting character. But because this is early Teen Titans, he's a sex criminal, and suddently everything interesting about him flies out the window because he's a pedophile. Hell, he's barely even an antaongist to the Titans, and only fights them because they're tricked into killing one of his kids, and after the situation ends, he gradually because a full ally to them. He's a massively better writen and more interesting character, but like a staggering number of DC villains, one person decided to make them assault kids, and now the character is ruined forever
