The Batman Who Laughs DBD chapter 🦇
This chapter comes with two new status effects. For survivors: Terrified. When afflicted the survivor is easily startled, causing skill checks to be faster and their own actions to be slower. It also causes them to scream whenever a loud noise or action happens within 15 metres of them. For killers: Powerless. They are unable to use their power for the allotted amount of time (defaults to five seconds.) Assuming this is alongside my previous Batman chapter, these would be applied to the various abilities and characters.
Killers
The Bat (The Batman Who Laughs/The Grim Knight)
This killer comes with the introduction of an ‘alternate reality’ mechanic. What this means is that within the character of The Bat there are two versions from different universes - the Batman Who Laughs and the Grim Knight. They each have unique perks, they’re similar and each is within each versions abilities but their unique life experiences meaning they approach them differently. This is also the cases with the items, and their voice lines are also unique and are said by the same voice actor (who if all my Batman chapters merged would also voice Bruce Wayne.)

Essentially the plot of the graphic novel of the same name and the Dark Metal universe except the multiverse tearing resulted in the Bats being grabbed by the Entity.
Weapons
The Batman Who Laughs has dark metal bladed chains for close attacks, and his three Corrupted Robins for ranged attacks. They will hiss and pounce forward, ripping the flesh of survivors with their teeth and claws causing them to trigger the ‘Bleeding’ status effect.
The Grim Knight has a great deal of weapons but enters the trial with only two as the Entity stole them angering the Grim Knight immensely. He has a close range weapon which is his combat knives in each hand, meaning he can hit someone twice if they do not manage to escape after the first one to cause them to start ‘Bleeding’. His second weapon is a semi-automatic rifle, this has lower accuracy but shoots multiple bullets over a wider range with more severe consequences depending on how far away the survivor is. If they are within 30 metres, it’s a regular injury, within 15 metres and they start ‘Bleeding’, within 5 metres and they are downed no matter how healthy they are. However, the semi-automatic only has one magazine, and can either only be used once per game or in three short bursts.
Powers
The Batman Who Laughs has his three Corrupted Robins. What they can do is when released fly into the air and do one of two thing, fly directly towards a survivor within their 30 metre radius or reveal every survivor’s aura within that radius to the killer.
The Grim Knight has ‘Predatory Instincts’. He has the senses of a hunter, and as such he has Detective Mode which is constantly charging with every survivor he hits or generator he smashes. When it’s a third of the way full, he can use it to go completely undetectable for 30 seconds. If it’s two thirds of the way done he can have the previous benefit with the addition of all of the survivors within a 30 metre radius being revealed to him. If it’s completely full, the previous abilities are installed and he gains the ability to knock a perfectly healthy survivor to the ground.

The title of the Batman Who Laughs’ Load-Out are highlighted in green, the Grim Knight’s in red.
Bats Out Of Hell
People have learned to fear the cackles and giggles that escape your lips every time you commit an action. Whenever an action of yours makes noise, a burst of terror fills the hearts of any survivor giving them the Terrified status affect within 15/20/25 metres for 5/10/15 seconds within a 60/45/30 second cooldown.
Hex: Bat Country
In your Gotham, the Batman rules Gotham with an iron fist. Whenever a survivor screams their aura is revealed to you for 5/10/15 seconds, you can also see the aura of any survivor you’ve hooked if they are within 10/20/30 metres of you. This Hex has a totem for every survivor, and if one is snuffed out it will relight in 60/45/30 seconds unless all four totems are snuffed out.
Hex: Herald of Barbatos
The god of the bats smiles on you. Every time an animal is spooked, all survivors scream and the killer gains a token. Whenever the killer spooks an animal however his position is revealed to the survivors for 9/6/3 seconds. The Hex totem is not revealed until the killer has 25 tokens.
5 tokens: The killer gains Haste for 5/10/15 seconds every time an animal is spooked.
10 tokens: Whenever a survivor spooks an animal the survivor becomes broken for 10/20/30 seconds.
15 tokens: When the survivors’ auras are revealed to the killer they become Terrified,
20 tokens: Every ten seconds the survivors’ auras are revealed to the killer.
25 tokens: The killer can spend all 25 tokens to kill the next downed survivor with their own hands, however the Hex totem will deactivate after this is done.
Hoplophobia
Your weapons send fear into your universe counterparts, and the survivors as well. Whenever your weapons are used all survivors within 15/25/35 metres are Terrified for 20/40/60 seconds.
The Darkest Knight
You hide in the shadows, all light does is make bigger ones. Whenever you are blinded or stunned you become undetectable for 45/60/75 seconds and the one who blinded you becomes Terrified for 25/50/75% of that time.
Fires of Gotham
When you killed Joe Chill you shattered the ice that covered Gotham. When you burned the crime families and corrupt power alive you caused a never ending fire which you have learned to control. Any survivor with the ability to blind you is revealed to you when they are within 15/20/25 metres, and any time your blinded once recovered you gain Haste whenever you are in 5/10/15 metres of the survivor who blinded you.
Add-Ons
The add-ons for the Batman Who Laughs are indicated by being in green, and the Grim Knight’s are in red. Prior to the iridescent add-ons the Batman Who Laugh’s are souvenirs from various victims and circus paraphernalia which extends the reach of his Corrupted Robins and the status effects they can cause, and the Grim Knight’s are items from the fascist Gotham of his creation such as trackers, ID cards, a bloody bullet from his victims heads, and so on. They all extend the range of Detective Mode and the time it lasts for, as well as adding new status effects caused by it.
Pouch of Teeth (Iridescent)
A small leather pouch filled with the teeth of Richard Grayson, Jason Todd, Timothy Drake, and Barbara Gordon.
The Corrupted Robins now have the ability to down anyone they target from above regardless of health status. They can also do this up to three times in a row before being recalled instead of only once.
Corrupted Robins can no longer track or spy on survivors.
Necklace of Eyeballs (Iridescent)
A homemade necklace of steel links, hooked onto each one is eyeballs frozen in resin, each belong to Richard Grayson, Jason Todd, Timothy Drake, and Barbara Gordon.
Corrupted Robins will remain in one spot with their surveillance power activated with no time limit or cool down unless the Bat orders them to move and cannot be ‘shooed away’ by survivors.
The Corrupted Robins can no longer directly attack from above.
Utility Belt (Iridescent)
The only thing the Bat has in common with his Bruce Wayne counterpart, except this one has significantly more weaponry holsters and deadly poisons.
You have two extra magazines for your semi-automatic rifles that can store twice the amount of bullets.
Detective Mode cannot reach past the second tier.
Blood Soaked Pearls (Iridescent)
When Bruce Wayne grabbed the gun that Joe Chill dropped he watched as the bullet pierced the murderer’s skull. The blood and chunks of brain splattered around him, landing on the very pearls Joe Chill caused to be scattered across the ground.
Whenever Detective Mode reaches its maximum level, the Bat can instantly kill with his own hand the next downed survivor regardless of how many times said survivor has been hooked.
You can no longer use your semi-automatic rifle.
Survivors
James Gordon Junior (JJ)

Essentially the plot of the graphic novel of the same name and the Dark Metal universe except the multiverse tearing resulted in JJ being taken by the Entity.

Killer’s Instinct
You were once like them, so you know how they think. Whenever a generator is completed the killer is given the status effect Powerless for 3/6/9 seconds, and is revealed for 3 seconds.
Sewer Cartographer
Whenever you pass an item of interest 6/4/2 times it lodges itself in your memory and its aura is revealed to you whenever you are in 15/20/25 metres of it.
Teenage Lobotomy
The brainwashing and programming inflicted upon you has been compared to a lobotomy, whether that’s true or not the way it effected your brain means that you have a strong resistance to any status effect inflicted by the killer. All status effects last for 50/40/30% of the allotted time. However, in its place your aura is revealed to the killer for the standard duration.
Commissioner James Gordon Senior

A Damn God Cop
You’ve been on the force long enough to know how to protect and serve your associates. Once/twice/three times per match if you’re within 2/3/4 metres of a fellow survivor who is about to be hit, you automatically dive in the way and are invulnerable to the next bit the killer makes if it is within 2/4/6 seconds. However, after use you are broken for 60/45/30 seconds.
No Man’s Land
You’ve always been a soldier for Gotham, now you’re a soldier against a god that is so powerful the war hasn’t even begun. Every time you stun or blind the killer you gain a token, once you have 7/6/5 tokens you can spend that to boost a generator’s progress speed by 10/15/20%.
Lighthouse Keeper
As the maker and primary user of the Bat signal you know how and when to ask for help. If you have a torch, you can use it to light up your aura to other survivors for 10/20/30 seconds to signal that you need help. If you are carrying the torch and suffering from a status effect then your aura is revealed automatically.
