Once she is in the quiet of the bedroom upstairs, Ann is suddenly, startlingly aware that the discomfort that she has felt low in her back all morning has spread to the front in a dull, rolling ache that sends waves of pain between her hips and up to her stomach.

Oh, she thinks, oh of course.

Shortly after moving into Shibden, Ann gets her period and indulgent schmoop ensues.

Finally, a nice hot bath. They were few and far between really, most of the baths he had to take were quick cold ones, or dips into the salty brine of the ocean. But today was quite different. The idiot aboard The Revenge had at least done one thing right in indulging in baths, and something to keep the water hot. It didn’t take convincing at all for Izzy to take one, but he’d wanted privacy.

In fact, he even had dared to use some of Bonnet’s bathing items. He poured in bath salts, and even some sort of lavender liquid which built up bubbles as the water was filled. It was such a pleasant smell, no wonder Ed had raved about it. Izzy easily got lost, his mind coming to a sort of peace as he sunk into the deep bath. “ Fuck.. “ That came out as a mild moan. The hot water on his aching bones was a treat, he practically purred in his happy solitude.

That was of course interrupted by his sneaky Captain. When he hadn’t paid attention, his eyes closed and his mind slipping into a bit of sub space, Ed had managed to get into the personal bathing area. Izzy was so wrapped up in contentment that when he felt fingers in his hair, he wasn’t even upset about it. His mind had entered that tender place, and he sighed blissfully. He knew who’s fingers those were. He could smell the leather. He didn’t even have to open his eyes.
