          ✜            “ OI ,   what  are  you  up  to  ——–    ? ?  mum  has  me  on  sprout  peeling  duty  if  you  fancy  a  trade ? ? ”      with  a  flourish  of  his  wand ,   another  one  of  everyone’s  least  favourite  christmas  vegetables  flew  into  the  air  and  unpeeled  before  dropping  into  a  bowl.  even  with  magic ,   it  was  a  slow  and  laboursome  task.

                      “Do you ever get a moment to yourself?”  Neville mutters the question under his breath, as Ron has just walked away.  It seemed that Ginny’s brothers constantly wanted something from her. “I’d imagine it’s hard to escape at home.”

                      “‘Course, I kind of envy you.” Neville’s voice raises in volume as Ron’s figure disappears in the distance.  A small smile grows on Neville’s face. “I get lonely at home with just Gran.  And boring.  All Gran wants to talk about is her old maid friends-- It’s horrible.”  He laughs after that.

          Neville continues to ramble— He can’t stop now, not when he’s finally developed some confidence. Ears tinging pink, he shoves his hands into his pockets and stammers out a question.  “Do you— Do you think I could visit you and your family sometime? O-Over summer vacation?”

                                                “ Out here! ”

            Hands were covered in soil, speckles of it had created a make-shift pattern of freckles on the blonde’s face as she turned to call out. 

                                       “ Ginny --- in the garden. ”

            Luna’s love of herbology had found its way to her post-school life, and here she was, on her knees, planting all kinds of to-be plants of questionable safety, right inside her own garden. 

                                          “ Come see this! ”

             She had watched the girl pace around the room while she had waited for the water to boil for tea. She had said nothing, letting her figure out her own thoughts. “Do you want to tell me what’s troubling you?” she asked as she set the other mug in front of the empty chair, before returning to sit in her own. “Or are you going to form a pathway in my carpet?”
