Not cuz they are homophobic but cuz they are murder bros) the family just thinks that reader is trying to over compensate.

I personally don’t like the idea of Louis being the love interest 😭 like I want him to freaky about Reader but like in a bro way. Like friend watching from the bushes giving a double thumbs up while reader is trying to get out of an awkward conversation with one of the bats or during them and their love interests first knife fight🤪

I also LIKE that other anons idea of a serial killer love interest that is using the relationship as a cover. Could you imagine Reader idk breaking into their house and just being like “you are a loose end” only for them to say “right back at you.” Plus shenanigans with them trying to cover the other if they both get invited to family dinner. Def a: if you fuck this up I WILL stab you in the gut.

I do think that a female love interest (combined with the idea above) would be funny cuz I don’t think reader would really know what to do with any of those feelings 😭😭😭 the only ‘close’ relationship they have had is with a guy and not a girl. Plus they are used girls being easily manipulated (horror move logic FR) so a girl who is also a killer and is trying to manipulate them right back might make them fumble a bit. I’m talking Light and L type manipulations LMAO

while their dynamic is heavily based on billy and stu, i sort of feel like they fit better as friends than lovers. like platonic soulmates? i dont think all close relationships need to be romantic - because while the reader and louis are closer and more than normal best friends definitely, theyre also less than lovers. a relationship as thin as a veil if you may … /ref. the reader def loves louis, of that im sure, and louis loves him too, but its an unlabeled sort of love. and like.. louis is gonna be jelly of the readers LI LOL

yes and thank you im so glad you enjoyed chapter 1!! you actually got him already, it's louis lmfao. to be honest, the stu character aka louis was supposed to be a girl at first because i was thinking of making her a potential love interest - but then i thought like “hmm.. what if they don’t want a love interest? and what if they do, they want him to be a guy?” so i decided to go with the original 2 boy duo billy and stu dynamic.

in chapter 2, which im actually proof reading rn, you’ll see a little bit more of louis and the reader. plus 2 other girl characters will be introduced but i have yet to decide if they should play a bigger part in the story.

Do you think there's a chance some gotham rogues might prop up? Like two face or Penguin offering to hire us (and Louis) or something 😭,
