“Never seems to change…” Shaking her head slightly, fingers rubbing her eyes as the words faded from her lips, Barbara hardly needed to hear them to know a swarm of bats was coming from somewhere inside the cave. Even so many years removed from the cowl she’d once worn, some training never did just go away
“…guess you could say we’re the same way…”
“The more things change the more they seem to stay the same.” He reached down and grabbed his teacup, taking a sip before taking a moment to gaze out at the setting sun through the window.
“He has promise, you know.”
"It's amazing how some things stay the same..."
“Hm. Gotham is still Gotham.”
“I don’t have a library card, but can I check you out?”
“I...actually like this one. And it works really well too because you are a librarian.”

Her cowl and cape resting on the back of the chair, Barbara was silent for a moment or so, as if her brain was still struggling to put together who she should truly be angry with. It had been only a week or so since Scarecrow’s toxin had nearly convinced her she’d fallen off the building, plunging down to her death. She’d recovered as well as possible, given what she’d been so sure had become reality.
The nightmares, however, were far from what she’d expected. Resting her head on her hands, she sighed, her eye-lids closing on tired irises. “I’m sorry…rough night…”
It wasn't long since that rooftop fight with the Scarecrow, the one that had Barbara nearly lose her life. He felt especially responsible for that. She had told them of her hallucinations, the dreams she had under the influence of the fear toxin. Bruce placed a hand on her shoulder. He knew nightmares. Oh, did he know.
“Get some rest, Barbara.”

We should! It will have to be when I get back from my hiatus though, I don't have access to a computer atm and my wifi comes and goes too much to do replies on mobile
