yes white boys cosplaying basquiat on instagram reels is appropriative. with that being said, it's clearly an art movement driven by basquiat ! call it what it is since we've seen it a million times before !!! it's important to recognize that it is literally basq worship but i hope years from now art historians are talking about the impact of basquiat's stuff on the time period following his death and how artists used what he left us and ran with it in a distinguished movemnt.
