A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring the vibrant flavors of fresh basil and creamy mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients: 4 slices of bread. 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced. 1 cup fresh basil leaves. 2 tablespoons butter, softened.
Instructions: Set a skillet on medium heat to warm it up. Put the same amount of butter on one side of each piece of bread. On the side of two slices of bread that hasn't been buttered, put slices of mozzarella cheese. Spread out the fresh basil leaves on top of the cheese. Put the last few slices of bread on top, buttered side facing out. Carefully put each sandwich in the pan and cook for three to four minutes on each side, until golden brown. Take the bread out of the pan when the cheese is melted and it is golden brown. Make diagonal cuts in the sandwiches and serve them hot.
