Summary: Lucanis and Spite survived the Ossuary, but leaving isn't as simple as walking out the door. Rook offers an outstretched hand, one with love, family, and a future, but Spite's obsession with Rook and his toddler leaves Lucanis unsettled, terrified of what being intimate could mean.

so here's a bit of my Basalit'Reth Backstory (Seheron Qunari PSTD Fic)>
"Do you choose to surrender?" The voice asks, soft and light, like the same voices that once tucked him into bed at night. "Orath, don't eat your nails," The Tamassaran pulls his hands from his mouth, skin worn raw from the nubby edges of baby teeth, the nail chewed so far back a line of red blood seeps under. "Sorry, Tamassaran," He says softly, only little ones, too small to say the full word, say Tama, and he left them behind in the child house this morning. Too old to find comfort in chewing his nails off, too, even if tonight is the first of many in the older boys' barracks. Like the petals of a flower, dancing below the wind, she wipes his hair back and whispers, "They were all nervous the first night, too. But you are meant to be here." "Yes." The Qunari answers. He has no name, no role or rank, no purpose. "This will continue until we are certain you will not break under the demands of the Qun." The Priest's voice is calm, the same tone as the Tamassarran outlining the rules for an activity like capture the fort, training, and play intertwined.

Summary: Lucanis and Basalit'Reth circle each other: while sparring, while talking, and emotionally. At some point, someone's going to get a hit in. Lucanis, Spite, and Luz spend some time together. Could have gone better.
