"Watch where you’re standing,” Rosalind looked down pointedly at where the wizards foot was currently standing on the red satin of her dress.

Irritation seeped through into his every movement, from the way he dropped his phone into the cliff, the way he crushed the cigarette under his heel, the way he shoved his empty hands into his pockets and made his way through the grounds into the main floor of the library. Théo was rarely ever without a circle of peers surrounding him, but around an hour ago he had dismissed them for some semblance of privacy when his text messages had taken a sour turn, answering his then-girlfriend’s call and launching into a conversation that had lasted for far too long. Really, that the call had happened at all was already a waste of time that could have been spent doing literally anything else, and it was in the middle of that useless conversation that he had decided to drop his phone into the fogged, snow-logged void below.
His gaze swept uncaringly past the room towards a certain spot, a luxurious couch of dark leather and heavy, intricately carved wood that without needing an explicit label was marked, towards the man that sat upon it, on the sharp, carved edges of his face, on the piercing blue eyes that concentrated deeply on the text in his hand — he could have simply asked where he was, but it was a thought that had come to him after he had done the deed, and besides. Théo knew the answer already. He made his way towards the man, imposing himself easily into his side, as though there were no place on Earth more rightfully his to take. “Give me your phone, I threw mine away,” he said, resting his chin on his shoulder and peering at his book, eyebrows furrowing in curiousity. “What are you reading?”
