Finished playing Final Fantasy V a while back and my take is that Faris is 100% transmasc. Like, if you’ve played the game you know what I mean. Presents very masc, only ever leads his pirate crew as a man, and the only thing that reveals that he’s “””a woman””” is when the other characters get uncomfortably close and presumably feel his breasts (which is… yeah.) And even when he’s brought back to the castle to reunite with Lenna with a whole royal ceremony, he’s uncomfy with being dressed up in feminine clothing and whatnot for the event, embarrassed by the whole thing. And after the game ends? He goes right back to leading his pirate crew, y’know, the one he only ever presented as a man to.
