Imagine dating Barry Allen, and being insecure about your height.
âHey, are you almost ready?â Barry called from the living room, while you were still in the bedroom. You sighed and looked at the two shoes that you had narrowed your choices down to - a boring pair of flats like what you wore every single day, or - or the heels that Caitlin bought you for your birthday that you still had never worn because once you did, you were taller than Barry.
âYeah,â You said, kicking the heels back into the closet and resigned yourself to your flats with a sigh. Oh, what you wouldnât give to be more petite like Caitlin or Iris, their heights so cute and ... manageable. While you were tall and awkward and had to deal with the barrage of âOh, you should be a modelâ or âOh, you should be a basketball playerâ growing up.
You finally came out of the bedroom, putting your purse onto your shoulder. âOkay, all set,â You said, nodding in his direction but paused when you saw the way that he was looking at you. He always did like you were the most beautiful person that he had ever seen, like you were blowing his mind right now just by being yourself, but there was also something - a wrinkle over his eyebrow. âWhatâs wrong?â
âI was kinda hoping youâd wear the other shoes tonight,â He admitted, but shook his head. âBut itâs fine. You look great. Letâs go.â
âThe heels?â You asked. And then you laughed, thinking that it was all a joke. âYou know Iâd be taller than you if you wore those right? I wouldnât do that to you. These are fine.â
He paused, his hand heading for the door knob, but now stayed just a couple of inches away. âThatâs -â You noticed a blush cross his cheeks. âThatâs really....â He was having problems talking, he looked like he was going to start stuttering. You had seen him like this before. It was when he was really turned on but didnât know how to express it, or didnât want to. That made you raise an eyebrow and wait for him to spit it out. âI like that.â
âYou want me to be taller than you?â You asked with disbelief.
âI mean, itâs kinda cool?â He said, wincing a little at how lame that sounded. âIâm just saying. I donât mind. Iâve been waiting to see you in them.â
âAlright, Iâll be right back...â You retreated back into the bedroom, closing the door behind you. You opened up the closet and looked at the discarded shoes, wondering if you should do this. Barry might like it but - what about everyone else? People already seemed to look at you different for being tall. This might tip it over the edge. But youâd try, you guessed. You put your flats in a bag, put on the heels and practiced walking in them for a moment, back and forth across the bedroom before until you felt comfortable enough to walk back out into the living room. You didnât get too close to Barry. You werenât ready yet to see the height difference. âOkay, there we go, but Iâm bringing these for when you get embarrassed-â You held up the bag.
Barry approached you. He broke the distance. You were now an inch or two taller, and it was noticeable, at least to you. Might as well have been a foot. He took the bag with the flats and tossed them over his shoulder with a grin. âLetâs go.â

Imagine surprising Barry Allen with a cat.
âA cat?â Barry said, his face giving away his surprise as he saw the little kitten curled up on the fluffy cat bed that you had bought specifically for that purpose.
âYes!â You said, smiling at your new pet. âAnd sheâs so smart! I thought she would just curl up in the box that the bed came in, but sheâs actually using it. Itâs amazing.â Â
âSheâs cute but why did you get us a cat?â He crouched down low next to the cat bed and ran his fingers along the soft top of the kittenâs head. She leaned into his hand, her soft nose sniffing his fingers, and then licked them happily. You could tell from Barryâs face that he was absolutely sold on the idea already.
âIâm going to need some emotional support when youâre out there saving the world. Or at least, Central City.â You did your best to keep your voice the same happy trill that it had been when you talked about the kitten. âIt would be nice to not have an empty bed to come back to at night.â
Barry sighed, but eventually he nodded. âAlright, but weâre not letting Cisco name her.â
Welcome Home {Justice League x Reader Oneshot}
Requested by: @imaginehuntress Wordcount: 2685 Prompt: Can you do a one-shot of the justice league where the reader gets them to take a day off and hangout/play cards against humanity. And Alfred takes a picture and puts it on the wall saying "its as close as ill get to a family around here". I'm sorry if this request is kind of stupid. :P
Barry Allen burst into the den, holding a package above his head. He was barely seen due to his speed, but the sound of his footsteps on the ground reached your ears, and then the streak of beige that was the paper the package was wrapped in, gave him away. Slowly coming to a stop in the middle of the room, he looked at you and Bruce, who were watching the six oâclock news together, he beamed a smile worthy of a toothpaste commercial. Then he unwrapped the package like a kid on Christmas morning. He revealed a black box with some writing on it, âCards Against Humanityâ which made you smirk, for you had heard about this game. Bruce though - he had no idea what was going on, and got to his feet to examine the box closer. âAre they some sort of bomb?â
Imagine getting arrested and Barry doing everything he can to prove you innocent.
Barry could do nothing as he saw you being taken out of the apartment in handcuffs. He had tried to make your case as much as he could to Captain Singh but the evidence that had been set up against you was paramount. All that you could do was tell him that you were going to be okay and that the truth would find itâs way out eventually.
Barry was not just going to sit back and let you sit in jail for a crime that you had not committed. He did not sleep, he did not rest at all and Joe was the only one who could get him to sit down and eat a meal.
âYou canât keep doing this to yourself, Bare-â Joe said, pushing Barryâs plate of eggs and toast closer to him in hopes the smell would entice him. âY/N wouldnât want to see you like this.â
âI have to prove that sheâs innocent, canât you see? She doesnât want to be sitting in prison either.â Barry said, pushing the plate to the floor and stood up.
âBut she wouldnât want you to do it in this way either.â Joe said, standing up. âYouâve got to pull yourself together. Weâre all trying to help out here.â
âI wouldnât consider it helping until sheâs out of there.â Barry said, and dashed out of the room, leaving only a gust of wind in Joeâs kitchen.
Two weeks later, Barry got a call urging him to go and visit you. He never needed prompts to do so but he hurried there faster than he would have otherwise, speeding through the streets as The Flash rather than taking in a car. He signed in and then was brought to a table with you and your lawyer.
âNew evidence has come up that secures y/nâs alibi.â The lawyer said, putting forth pictures of security camera video of you in the hours before the body was found. âFound thanks to an anonymous tip.â
âIt was you, wasnât it?â You said, looking at Barry. The images had been tampered with, you knew that, because Barry had been with you in his costume that night. He had been photoshopped out. Work of Felicity, no doubt.
âAnonymous.â Barry said. âDoes that mean youâre getting out?â
âIâm getting out.â You grinned. Before the security guard could stop either of you since touching was against the rules, you and Barry wrapped your arms around each other. You took in the scent of his cologne and he took in your body warmth. But when you pulled away, you put your hand on his cheek. âYou need to go home and get some rest, Barry. I can see how exhausted you are.â
âIâll sleep easier when youâre home with me.â He said, smiling for the first time in a couple of weeks.

Imagine guessing who The Flash is and getting it right.
You finished the article and pressed post. It showed up on your blog within seconds, staring you in the face. âThe Flash: The Hero that Central City Didnât Know it Needed.â Accompanying it was a drawing that a witness, who happened to be an artist, had done of a man in a red costume, complete with little lightning bolts. You smiled satisfactory at it, closed your laptop and gathered your things to leave Jitters.
You texted Barry, asking if he wanted to go out for something to eat later tonight since you didnât have any plans, and stepped out into the cool afternoon air. You got a text back immediately with Barry saying yes.
Throughout the dinner, he seemed to question your blog quite a bit, which did start to make you suspicious. Some other things started to show themselves throughout the next few days as well. The way that sometimes you would look beside you and he would be gone and then the next second, he would be there again like nothing had ever happened, giving you a smile, a single drop of sweat on his forehead.
Or how he was never reachable by phone at the same time that The Flash was seen saving people.
-
It was wrong to lie to your friends, you knew that. Or even to put yourself and a friend in a dangerous predicament, but you had to know. You arranged a friend to pretend to be a mugger. A tough friend who only wanted to see you happy. You walked down the street, having told Barry where you were out shopping, with a full purse and a shopping bag. You were humming to yourself when your friend, in a black mask, started to mug you. You screamed for help, someone called the police and sure enough within a minute, the purse was back in your hand and The Flash was in front of you, face vibrating so quickly you could not see.
But you knew that build.
You stepped forward to your savior and put your hand against the red of the costume. âBarry-â You said. You lost your breath at that moment for you were picked up and taken somewhere else. You noticed you were in a park near your house. It was isolated, there was no one walking around and the face of The Flash was no longer blurry.
Hesitantly, you lifted up the hood and saw exactly what you thought you would see. âI knew it.â You breathed.
âYou canât tell anyone-â Barry started but you cut him off by standing on your tiptoes and kissing him. He returned it, arm going around your waist.
âI wonât - but you might want to tell Joe to let my mugger free. You feel for a simple set up, Barry Allen.â

Fearless {Barry Allen Oneshot}
Requested by: Anonymous. Warning: Contains violence.
The word that were written on your fighting gear was a word that described you perfectly. âFearlessâ. As you stepped into the ring each night, you could see that word being written on banners that fans were holding, on their own clothing, being chanted. Fearless! Fearless! It had become your mantra, it had become your brand, and it was something that you lived by through and through, although it hadnât always been easy. Being a female trying to get into the WWE, you had a lot of people doubting your ability, your strength, your will, your determination. Only one person stood by you through all of this, even when you were just training in high school and being the only girl on the team. Your boyfriend Barry.
OMG! I CANT BELIEVE YADECH ARE FINALLY ENGAGED! WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW HAPPY I AM FOR THEM! I literally grow up with them and watched them flourish professionally and personally. The day Ones like myself knew what it is!đ ITS ALWAYS & âžď¸ WITH YADECH đ â¤ď¸ Wishing them all the happiness in the đ
