might be a crazy thing to ask but considering george's recent popularity burst especially in china do you think the chinese fans will be significant buyers of carmen's skincare?
i think the main purpose is to sell it to wealthy influencers especially in her circle and portray it as a sellout by releasing a limited amount to get the tag of a business woman.
the above question because the chinese fans are known to go above and beyond to show their support, carmen is loved there for being george's long term partner and this will be the first merch kinda thing they have released that isn't associated with mercedes.
Hmm, I mean possibly, but they're still people that would need to pay and cover shipping costs and the price is definitely what's putting a lot of people off and I suspect that woll be the case regardless of where you're from and how big a fan you are.
The thing is, due to their business model, it looks like the product can't sell out. Their current inventory is zero. You're not purchasing a product that currently exists, you're making a ÂŁ155 deposit for them to make the product for you. It doesn't look like they have any intention of holding any stock inventory. They say they're only going to make the amount of orders they get and it's "limited" but aside from their website always removing one item from the quantity you request, it let me put up to 1000 units in my basket - I didn't try any higher so I'm not sure if there's there's an upper limit at all. It might be different if you actually try and checkout that volume. I'm not really sure how they're defining "Limited amount" but it feels like a sales tactic because if you're taking money up front and you're only making what you need, why would you enforce a restriction if you had high demand???
I do think you're correct though that the intended audience is other influencers. Skincare is personal and what works for one person won't necessarily work for another. I think going in at such a high price point, forcing everyone to buy three unknown products and putting no time and effort in to actual pre-sale product information are huge mistakes. This is the sort of thing PR packages are designed for. We've seen one person use the product and he's got a financial interest and said it smells of cum?
