This is an uncatalogued Lady Sheaffer with a rhodium flashed engraved barleycorn design cartridge fountain pen c. 1974-78. The section is black with a conical 14 karat gold nib unit stamped SHEAFFER over 14K - 585 over AUSTRALIA.

I spend a weekend a year in Leeds, at the beginning of November, for Thought Bubble, which is the most fun your can have with your clothes on.  I sincerely hope I get a table for 2017, but we’ll see - it’s very competitive.  These are some giant cast iron barleycorns in the Brewery Wharf, scattered around past the three huge inverted ears of barley, which I’m desperately in love with. Can you believe I only noticed this exquisite sculpture this year??
