RWBY Remnants: The Islands of Menagerie
After the Great War Mistral, cut off from westward northern and eastward expansion, colonized the sparsely populated Southern isles and deported millions of disenfranchised faunas and humans alike from central Mistral to work the newly built plantations, mines and lumber yards.
When the Faunas Revolutions concluded with a decisive victory over Mistral and its reluctant allies in the year 282 AGW, Menagerie found itself being isolated on the world's stage by a vengeful Mistral and a mistrusting Vale which had just suffered the loss of Mountain Glynn which was rumored to have been caused by Faunas Revolutionaries.
This geopolitical isolation left Menagerie without any reliable way to trade its rich plethora of resources for the food stuffs and industrial products needed for any modern society to exist.
Thus in 286 AGW the White Fang came about in an effort to bridge the geopolitical gap seventy years of conflict had created. With little progress made since.
