Very cute, no relationship just Mark being happy as a barista.
It was a bright Wednesday morning in Cincinnati. Mark had just woken up and he was off to start his day at the coffee shop that he had opened up earlier this year. He was dressed in his “uniform”, black pants and a white shirt. The coffee shop was right under his apartment and it was one of the most popular places in town, even more so than the local Starbucks. Mark was known for being one of the most pleasant people in the area who owned a business.Â
“Can I please have a caramel swirled, hot coffee please?” a costumer ordered, looking down at their phone.
“What size?” he asked politely, his brown eyes facing the person in front of him. They continued to look at their phone while they ordered, Mark didn’t mind though, he continued to smile at them. Once they had gone to sit at their table, he began to make their order, humming to himself quietly as he did so. This is what made him so happy, being able to make others happy. He brought the coffee and pastries to their table after it was finished and went on to make the rest of the orders.Â
At the end of the day, Mark counted the drawer to see the profits from the days work and he stayed a bit longer to clean. Seeing as Mark worked alone, he was always doing the work. He enjoyed it though, making something of his own and taking care of it himself. Again, it’s what made him happy.
Soon, the café began to get even more popular than it already had been, Mark was beginning to get overwhelmed, and it became too much for him to do on his own, so he hired another barista named Amy. Amy was a nice girl and Mark trusted her, so most nights they would count the drawer together and he would let her go early and clean by himself. It was nice having someone else to help out and he knew it would be easier on himself if he hired someone else along with Amy. He then hired a blue haired boy named Ethan. Everyone who came in commented on how adorable he was, Ethan was always smiling and making others laugh, that’s what Mark wanted for his café and he was happy he made the decision to hire Ethan.
But, even after enlisting the help of the others, he insisted on staying after and cleaning up himself, it’s the time of the day where he could unwind and just think. He was so happy with what he made for himself and he was glad he could make some amazing friends in the process.
UGH, it’s kinda garbage but ehhh what can you do??? I’ll work on it but lemme know if you like it, because I had a lot of fun writing it!
