Matera (Basilicata). Complex of saint Augustine (1592). At the end of Via Madonna delle virtù - which connects the two main Sassi, and where on the occasion of Matera Capitale, they arose, with the restoration of old caves, both cultural and refreshment points -, the Sasso Barisano opens up to view. On the right, some steps led to the baroque complex of Sant'Agostino - convent of the Eremitani and church of Santa Maria delle Grazie -, national monument and seat of the Basilicata museum complex. Under the convent there is the hypogeal church of san Guglielmo da Vercelli (11th century). Between the church and the convent, the tuff bell tower rises. The area for its conformation is called enclosure (Recinto d'Addozio, classic professor of the twentieth century). #barisano #sassi #matera #basilicata #saintaugustine #virtù #refreshment #baroque #eremitani #grazie #museum #ipogeo #tuff #recinto #connects #occasion #cultural #travel #traveling #visiting #instatravel #travelling #tourism #instatraveling #mytravelgram #travelgram #travelingram #massimopistis #sovVERSIvi #estremisti Information for the purchase of my new book "Estremisti!": the book at a cost of 12.00 euros (120 pages), can be ordered in bookstores (ISBN 978-88-591-5719-9 - Publisher Aletti) or online on the page http://www.alettieditore.it/emersi/2019/pistis.html from the link below. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_S6PuUq0mW/?igshid=1o5zx4nm18mi8
