Though Lau affects an attitude of perpetual nonchalance, seeming to flit through life with the blithe, erratic patterns of a butterfly drunk on nectar, his wits and knife are ever at the ready. He is often glib, but seldom truly relaxed, aside from the false peace of opium-induced numbness. Around most people, that is. But dear master cook is not most people. As Lau interlaces his fingers with Bardroy’s and rests his head upon his lover’s shoulder, the wariness seeps from his body like water from a sieve.

Lau truly made out like a bandit during the Blue Revenge arc: Not only did he fulfill his primary goal of securing illicit tech for his own criminal purposes, but he even completed the unexpected side quest of acquiring a boyfriend! 😌 They don’t call him the Rising Dragon for nothing.
