I WANT THE K
Send me 'I want the K' and I'll generate a number21: Kiss in the Rain
What a terrible weather. Mei-Rin wondered if it was ever going to stop raining... Sticking her hands to the window pane she looked out. Both Finny and Bard should be home already but the first had needed some help with his garden issues... And then, it had started raining.
It wouldn't be that distressing for the young maid if the dask wasn't coming closer; those areas weren't really safe at such hour. All of them knew that already and even though she put her all trust into both of her friends, she couldn't help but worried about them. What if something had already happened to them, and that was the reason for their absence? No, Mei-Rin. Stop even thinking that. You should have more faith in them; don't you forget they're strong and brave. Both of them; remember how much they have already been through.
A quiet sigh escaped her. Maybe in fact she was concerned too much? Almost jumping, she turned her head at the sound of the door opening. Not seeing anything, she ran up closer to it, to see Finny, completely soaked, his wet hair plastering the oval of his face. A frown distorted her features at once.
"Where's Bard?" she asked worriedly and Finny waved in the direction she had just come from, trying to brush away the wet strands from his face. "He's dealing with the shed door; it jammed somehow and he insisted to fix it before either the young Master or Mister Sebastian notice."
Oh, yes, that's Bard, mused the maid, not really sure if she was more irritated or anxious. Because of his foolish actions, like this one, something bad could happen to him. And that was definitely the last thing she wanted. Without any other unnecessary word, she removed her glasses and passed by Finny, who, looking at her shocked, asked, "And where are you thinkin' you're going?"
"I'll go an' find Bard!" she called back for she was already walking through the gardens in the raging rain, covering her eyes from the heay drops. Quite cold as for the summer shower, she noticed, trying to spot the familiar figure in this darkness.
The mud was squelching under her feet but right by the shed, Mei-Rin managed to find the chef. With a deep frown, she looked at him. "Are you mental? It's dark already! Do you even know how worried I was?!" she yelled at him and grasped his wrist as if he was a little child. But, seriously, sometimes he behaved like one.
Yet it was a relief to see he was alright but wet to the skin; she probably didn't look better. Without even thinking, Mei-Rin pulled him by his hand closer and placed a kiss on his lips, both anger and reprieve filling her chest. It didn't last long, just a couple of seconds before the maid, with the same irate expression on her face, tugged him towards the manor. "Like a child," she mumbled to herself.
