Day 7 (redo): Beach Trip

Everything was going so perfectly.

But as soon as his back was turned to refill the master’s drink, the beach went completely out of control due to a simple ball game.

“Do care to explain why the seaside became a battlefield all of a sudden.” Sebastian demands calmly.

“Finny started it obviously!” Bard points out.

“I tried my best but I wanted to win so badly!” Finny replies in tears.

“Then my glasses slipped when I slipped, yes they did!” Mey-Rin adds.

All Sebs can do is share his head in disappointment.

“Sometimes I wish he hired more tamed servants.”

Finnian hid the broken tea cup somewhere in the garden.... 💐

Dear Anonymous,

If I were to nominate anyone in the Phantomhive household as being particularly weak-flavoured it would be Finnian. One would think that his life before coming to the manor would have imbued him with some taste but his irrepressible optimism drowns out every other complex note.

Not even making him kill all the butterflies in the garden before they lay eggs on the Master’s favourite roses can break him for long; his resilience is impressive.
