Decided it was time to let somebody actually try boating on the pond. I figured that the ice still out there would keep the boat within my reach (it did) and the puddle test showed that neither boat is going to just up and sink. Still though, I wasn't about to send one of the Blythes out there, despite their eager volunteering. No, the captain was going to have be the much lighter, easy to balance, grabbed her off a Walmart shelf so if she sinks to the bottom of the pond never to be seen again I can easily replace her (no offense), Tiffany!
