Thursday 8 Oct // Lets get this out of the way - I tested positive for you-know-what which means I had to do my midterms with high fever and it sucked. But good news is that I passed!! And I’m also good and healthy again. In other related news, my quarantine was quite fun and cozy. I started a puzzle with my roomie and we watched grey’s anatomy non stop. The only annoying thing is that I couldn’t go to the rowing competition I had in Eindhoven which sucked because I was looking forward to it.

Barbara Acklin - What’s It Gonna Be
Morning all! Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend 😊 I had a nice day yesterday and was quite busy so today I think will be quieter which is no bad thing! Sunday mornings are always a good time for some soul music so I’m listening to Barbara Acklin who was a truly great singer. This song is from 1972 and I think the early 70s are my favourite years for soul, it still had a bit of the kind of rawness/grittiness of some of the 60s styles but with more polished production. Perfect! (plus you can’t go wrong with a spoken word intro imo)
