Tonight was the first basketball game of the season 😁So me and a couple band friends went to go get food before the game and when we came back to the band room to eat, our BD told us that they had sent him the wrong schedule and that the game was happening at 6 instead of 7 like we had planned, so we didn't have time to rehearse and by the time everyone else in pep band wouldve gotten there, the game would've been like half way over... So instead, me, 8 other band ppl, our BD, and one large bass drum went to go cheer at the game and it was fun
This is another reason I love band....its the ~spontaneability~ like
U never know what's gonna happen like things could change unexpectedly but u have to just roll with it and might end up having a blast even tho it's not how u originally planned it to be
i just hope that one day our songs touch people enough that when we meet them, we can tell them how much they mean to us too
We are playing Psalm 46 by John Zdechlik in band and I have it in my head. It's got such a good tenor sax part. I love it. My director also added some cues for us, since we don't have a bassoon or baritone.
