Freaky but fascinating. A writing or zig zag spider with the most brilliant yellow markings. It is outside my bedroom but I am glad that it tends to stay in the same place for life. More #Balibugs. The first interesting one in ages. Very strange to watch as it takes off, at first propelled by the thrust of its powerful back legs but then goes in to this surreal slow motion mode as it veers off track and begins to fly mid leap. #bugaday #bali #1000miles #travelogue

This is something I haven't seen in years. Nature is obliging those who want to see a #bugaday post. Ha ha. I believe this is what they call a praying mantis.
