During this COVID-19 pandemic, stay-at-home mandates and quarantines caused an increase in the use of digital technology, particularly for entertainment and online games. Games can be used as a stress-reliever, socialization, and enjoyment, while abuse can have a bad outcome. Online games are now ever designed to be addictive, where players started to go crazy about it. Many people are now playing games for several hours, which causes some bad habits. These bad habits are: sleeplessness, skipping food or meal, ignoring relationships, academic and career-related things to do. These bad habits may cause some adverse health, physical and mental issues. These consequences may include impairment of the eyes, relationship problems, academic and career-related problems, depression, sleeplessness, and even hunger. Setting a schedule and following a routine could prevent us from getting addicted to online games. Online games have both negative and positive effects, and it often depends on the playerโs attitude towards games and life in general.
